German teenager given BMW chance
German teenager Sebastian Vettel will drive BMW Sauber's third car at this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix.

Vettel, 19, fills the role left vacant when Pole Robert Kubica was promoted to the race seat left vacant when the team split with Jacques Villeneuve.

Team boss Mario Theissen said: "We are giving Sebastian the chance to prove what he is already capable of.

"Istanbul isn't going to be easy for him. Sebastian has done far less testing than Robert when he joined us."

Theissen confirmed that Kubica would compete in the remaining five races of the season.

Vettel is second in the Formula Three Euro Series after taking three wins this season. He won 18 out of 20 races in German Formula BMW in 2004.
