Yamamoto is poised to make his race debut in Germany |
Franck Montagny says he will race once more for Super Aguri at his home race in France this weekend before moving aside for Japanese Sakon Yamamoto. Montagny - who was drafted in after a disastrous first four races by another Japanese, Yuji Ide - said he had been given a one-race extension.
Montagny said: "It's confirmed. It's just for this race and then I'm sure I'll be reserve driver at Hockenheim."
Montagny, 28, will be the only French driver racing at Magny-Cours.
Aguri, whose other driver is former BAR and Jordan racer Takuma Sato, are keen to return to an all-Japanese line-up.
Yamamoto has been gaining experience as their reserve driver.
