David Coulthard said his third-placed finish in the Monaco Grand Prix was a dream for his Red Bull team. The Briton finished behind Fernando Alonso and Juan Pablo Montoya for Red Bull's first Grand Prix podium.
It was also the 35-year-old's first podium since the 2003 Japanese Grand Prix when he was racing for McLaren.
"I'm obviously delighted to be back here. It's a very important day for Red Bull Racing," said Coulthard, who wore a Superman cape on the podium.
His stunning drive through the field from a start of seventh on the grid gave Red Bull points for just the third time this season.
"This is a great reward for everyone in the team when you consider the difficult start to the season we had," added the Scot.
"There's no better place to do it than here. It is a dream result for where we are at this time."
Coulthard benefited from attrition at the front of the field which saw Kimi Raikkonen, Mark Webber and Jarno Trulli all denied podium finishes by mechanical problems.
"I think it's really important for the whole team who have worked tremendously hard," said Red Bull team boss Christian Horner.
"This is a result really for them and now we can move forward from here. David was awesome this weekend."
