BAR's Jenson Button was in upbeat mood after finally claiming his first points of the season at the French Grand Prix for coming home fourth. "It would be nice to be on the podium, but it's a good result," he said.
"This season we've struggled, for various reasons, but this is a good base for next week's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
"Some people might not think it's a good result but for us, fourth is good. We'll be positive for next weekend."
Button added that he did not place much importance in personal gains for the time being. "I'm not racing for points at the moment," he added.
"It's more about just improving the car and putting us a little bit closer to the front.
"I think we are pretty much where we expected to be, the only problem is we have a big gap to the two top teams.
"It's a good result. I think we're probably the same sort of pace as the Ferraris, it's just that the McLaren and the Renault are superior."
