McLaren are favourites to land the Formula One contructors' title after their one-two finish in Brazil.
They hold a two-point lead over Renault with just two races left after Juan Pablo Montoya took victory at Interlagos ahead of Kimi Raikkonen.
"Finally we got the one-two we deserved since the start of the year," said Colombian Montoya.
"That was when we lost the drivers title but we're stronger as a team now. We deserve the constuctors' title."
Raikkonen was the only driver who could have prevented Fernando Alonso from winning the drivers' crown.
The Finn came home ahead of the Spaniard, but Alonso's third-place finish gave him the title.
"Maybe the set-up wasn't perfect, it has been a difficult all weekend, but it was a good finish for the team," said Raikkonen.
"We did the best we could, but we knew that winning the championship would be difficult.
"It was supposed to happen some day, and it happened to Fernando now, so congratulations. He deserved it."
