Schumacher has yet to sign a deal for beyond 2006

On Thursday, Ferrari and McLaren denied reports that Raikkonen had signed a pre-contract deal with Ferrari.

But Schumacher, whose current deal expires at the end of 2006, said: "I wouldn't have any problem driving with Kimi with Ferrari in 2007."

Schumacher will be joined at Ferrari by Felipe Massa next season when Rubens Barrichello departs to BAR.

A German newspaper reported on Thursday that Raikkonen, who has won five races this season, signed a preliminary agreement with Ferrari in May this year.

But Raikkonen, winner of the Turkish Grand Prix last Sunday, has so far played down the story.

He said: "The team is fantastic and I have a great relationship with everybody here, so why would I want to consider changing?"

Schumacher too underlined his commitment to his current employers after rumours linking him with Mercedes.

"I'm happy in this team," he said. "I can't imagine driving for another team.

"I haven't yet signed for anything for beyond 2006. But I'll do it as soon as the right moment comes for me.

"I don't want to back out now at a point where we're not doing so well."

Ferrari have struggled this season after dominating in 2004, with Schumacher winning only one race so far.

That victory was in the farcical US Grand Prix, when Ferrari had no competitive opposition following a problem with the Michelin tyres used by their rivals.
