 | CANADIAN GRAND PRIX |
Jordan test driver Timo Glock picked up two unexpected points at the Canadian Grand Prix to become the 52nd driver to score on his Formula One debut. "I was happy when the race finally ended," said Glock, who was promoted to seventh after the disqualification of the two Williams and two Toyotas.
"I've never driven so long without a break and had some back problems."
Glock, from Germany, replaced regular driver Giorgio Pantano, who was sidelined by a management dispute.
"Timo will always remember his first race," said Jordan team boss Eddie Jordan.
"He did a good job and thanks to circumstances finished in front of his team-mate Nick Heidfeld. It was nice to see them work together."
Heidfeld, whose race was ruined after he knocked over a refuelling hose operator in a pit stop accident, picked up another point after he moved up to eighth.
Glock was the 52nd Formula One driver to score on his debut - the last was Australian Mark Webber for Minardi in 2002.
