Schumacher has set a career deadline |
Ralf Schumacher will decide his BMW Williams future before the British Grand Prix on 11 July, his manager Willi Weber has confirmed. Schumacher, 28, is out of contract at Williams at the end of this season and negotiations over a fresh deal have not reached a conclusion.
"We still need a bit of time to think," Weber told the German news agency DPA at the European Grand Prix.
"After the races in Canada, the US and France we will make a decision."
Schumacher has been strongly linked with a move to Japanese outfit Toyota but has refused to fuel the speculation.
The loss of Schumacher, who has collected 12 points this season, would be a major blow for Williams with Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya leaving for McLaren in 2005.
