BAR boss fears complacency
David Richards
Richards wants his BAR team to stay focused
BAR boss David Richards has warned his team not to get carried away after Jenson Button's morale-boosting Malaysian Grand Prix podium finish.

Richards wants the team to aim for a repeat at Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix.

"It was very encouraging but we have to make sure we don't get complacent - there's no question that we can think we're there yet," Richards said.

"It was a memorable occasion but it's out of the way and finished. We've got to continue getting on the podium."

Sunday's race in Bahrain will be the third round of the championship and first in the Middle East.

Button's first third place finish of his Formula One career lifted the 24-year-old to fourth in the championship after two races.

And it equalled Honda-powered BAR's best result since they were founded in 1999.

Button said: "We expected these results from the start of this season and it shows how much we've improved as a team,

"I hope there's a lot more of this throughout the year. We go to Bahrain looking for more of the same and see how we go."
