BAR boss questions changes

BAR boss David Richards feels F1 must continue to draw in the crowds
British American Racing team boss David Richards believes Formula One's qualifying system is too complicated and could prove a turn-off for fans.

The main reforms in 2004 see Saturday's two final qualifying sessions run back-to-back, and teams penalised for using more than one engine.

"Have we over-complicated the sport? In so many ways it's not the clean way it used to be with qualifying," he said.

"If it's confusing for us, it must be very confusing for the spectators."
