Brazilian Nelson Angelo Piquet is to get a second chance to prove his worth with Williams. The teenager made his debut in testing last year, and team boss Frank Williams is keen to give him a second run before the start of the season.
"Our conclusion was that the [first] test was a little premature in his case," Williams said.
"Nelsinho" is the son of Nelson Piquet, who won the third of his titles with Williams in 1987.
The 18-year-old competed in British Formula Three last year, finishing third overall in an impressive rookie season, and is a championship favourite in 2004 in a team run by his father.
"He'll get a second run in the car," confirmed technical director Patrick Head.
"Certainly it was very interesting to operate with him at the test. "He did a very good job and I'm more than convinced that he will have a very strong Formula One future."
Head said former Brazilian test driver Antonio Pizzonia remained on the list of possible second test drivers for the team, who are still looking for someone to shoulder the burden with Spaniard Marc Gene.
