British driver Justin Wilson must wait until December to find out if he has a Formula One seat with Jaguar next year. Jaguar team boss Tony Purnell revealed the timescale for a decision on who will partner Australian Mark Webber.
But Purnell had words of encouragement for Wilson, who scored one point in five races for the Ford-owned team in 2003.
"He can come away from this weekend feeling pretty pleased with himself. He did a good job,"he said.
"I would like to have the decision made by the beginning of December so our winter testing can be with the two race guys.

"The next two months is where the sponsors make a decision whether to go with us or not and to me that's the important one. "The drivers are a bit secondary compared to that."
Wilson, who switched to Jaguar from Minardi mid-season, hopes to stay with his new team, but is likely to face stiff competition for the remaining place.
The Jaguar drive is the most alluring of the few that remain on offer in Formula One, with the top teams having already confirmed their line-ups.
Outgoing Sauber drivers Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Nick Heidfeld are both thought to be interested, and McLaren test driver Alexander Wurz has figured in speculation.
"It would be interesting for me to drive for Jaguar next year for sure. But at this stage I can't tell you a lot about it," said Frentzen.
Minardi's Dutchman Jos Verstappen has also expressed an interest and former champion Jacques Villeneuve is also available after being dropped by BAR.
Purnell said his first aim was to secure sponsors for next season, with the driver issue second on his list.
