Mark Webber has emerged as a star of the future this season with his strong performances off the track and his laidback friendliness off it. Grabbed by Jaguar after some strong, mature drives in his debut season with Minardi in 2002, the Australian has been one of the drivers of the season in 2003.

Webber is not only a quick and technically-aware driver, he is also bright, personable and presentable - exactly the sort of man Jaguar need.
He served notice of intent with some strong qualifying performances early in the season, once Jaguar had a handle on their reliability he has converted them into a series of strong, consistent drives into the points.
Webber as a man is exactly the way Jaguar want their team to be perceived - straightforward, no-nonsense and effective.
The team has some way to go before it emerges as a genuine contender in F1. But it is a mark of the impact Webber has made that he is already there.
