The capture of Ben Agathangelou, who will join Jaguar on 1 May, coincides with the British team opening their new wind tunnel facility in the Oxfordshire countryside.

Jaguar have had to struggle until now with a wind tunnel in California.

In the first two Formula One races - in Australia and Malaysia - poor results were blamed on poor grip and downforce.

Number one driver Eddie Irvine has already suggested reverting to last season's R2 car for the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo on Sunday.

But the team are committed to continuing with the new R3 car in Brazil, although the old R2 car may make an appearance in Imola, on 14 April.

Jaguar's managing and technical director, Guenther Steiner, is confident that Agathangelou's arrival, along with the new tunnel, will iron out any early teething problems.
