Conor Cummins says it feels great to be back riding after completing four days of testing in Spain with Ian Lougher's Blackhorse Kawasaki team.

The Cartagena testing session is the first time the Isle of Man rider has been on a bike in 10 months, following a high-speed crash at the 2010 TT.

"It feels magic to be back on a bike," said the 24-year-old from Ramsey.

Cummins is hoping to line up for the opening round of the National Superstock 1000 Championship in April.

"It has been a while but I am really happy with my lap times. I have not let the injuries affect me and I am really looking forward to the season ahead," he added.

Blackhorse Kawasaki boss, Ian Lougher said: "Conor has done extremely well in testing. He started off very steady but got quicker every lap and at the end was only a couple of seconds slower that our other rider Victor Cox, who was the quickest in his class."

Cummins will now complete two further testing sessions ahead of the opening round at Brands Hatch.

The Ramsey rider was joined by host of TT stars at the Spanish track including fellow Manx rider, Dan Kneen, John McGuinness and Guy Martin.

Last year's five time TT winner, Ian Hutchinson however had to make do with watching as he is still on crutches.
