Birmingham Brummies cut ties with team manager Drury

Drury leaves the Brummies after four seasons in charge

Birmingham Brummies owner Tony Mole has confirmed team manager Graham Drury is leaving the club.

Drury and his wife Denise took charge when they re-launched racing at Perry Barr in 2007.

Since then the Brummies have finished in the Premier League's top four in three of the last four seasons.

"My company has reluctantly decided against re-engaging Graham Drury as promoter and team manager on cost grounds," said Mole.

"A team manager will be appointed in due course, but as soon as possible.

"I take this opportunity of thanking Graham and Denise Drury for the sterling work they have put into making Birmingham Brummies the success it has known since the re-opening in March 2007."
