New signing Krzysztof Kasprzak starred as Coventry Bees edged to a narrow win Ipswich Witches at the Foxhall Stadium on Thursday.

The Polish rider raced to a paid maximum on debut and was well supported by Chris Harris, who scored 12 points.

Kasprzak overtook Ipswich riders Scott Nicholls and Daniel King in the final heat to secure the win.

The Bees face Eastbourne on Friday night, then welcome Swindon to Brandon on Bank Holiday Monday.
