Norfolk's iSport secure GP2 Asia team title in Bharain

Davide Valsecchi wins the GP2 Asia Driver's Championship
Valsecchi sealed the title with a win in Bahrain

A single point for Oliver Turvey on Saturday confirmed iSport International as 2010 GP2 Asia team champions.

Turvey put in a controlled performance to finish sixth in the sprint race, giving the Carleton Rode outfit their second title of the weekend in Bharain.

Davide Valsecchi clinched the driver's championship with a win on Friday.

Team Principle Paul Jackson said: "Both Oliver and Davide have been really impressive and fitted in with the team straight away."

Valsecchi and Turvey have both been confirmed as iSport's drivers for the main GP2 series, which acts as principle support to Formula One races in Europe.

And Jackson said they would be looking to keep up the pace when the final GP2 Asia races take place before the Bharain Grand Prix.

"Oliver is lying third in the driver's championship so we'll be aiming to get him back into second in the final round back here in Bahrain in a few weeks.

"It has been a fantastic start to 2010," he said.
