Colin Turkington beat Jackson by under a second at Brands Hatch

Colin Turkington won the third race in the opening round of the 2008 British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

The Team RAC BMW driver from Portadown spun twice in the first race and finished 20th despite setting the fastest lap.

Turkington came in eighth in the second race before beating off the challenge of Mat Jackson to win the final race.

Fabrizio Giovanardi won the first two races in a Vauxhall Vectra.
