Turkington claims Donington pole |  Colin Turkington made the perfect start to his Vauxhall career | Colin Turkington made a superb start to his British Touring Car Championship career with Vauxhall by taking pole for Sunday's opening race at Donington. Turkington, who moved from MG in the close-season, set a best time of one minute, 12.092 seconds, with Matt Neal second and Yvan Muller third. Only 11 cars competed in the 30-minute qualifying session. The times decided the starting order for Sunday's first race with the other two grids decided by race results.
