Formula One teams Minardi and Jordan are planning talks to thrash out the future of their engine deal with suppliers Ford-owned Cosworth Racing. Ford announced its decision to pull out of F1, and sell Cosworth which supplies engines at discount prices to the two struggling teams, on Friday.
Minardi boss Paul Stoddart said: "We will be working closely with Cosworth to find a workable solution."
Jordan chief Eddie Jordan said: "We will presently analyse our position."
Ford is now in talks with prospective buyers for their Jaguar Racing F1 team.
Jordan added: "We're saddened by the news as we've enjoyed competing against Jaguar Racing and we have shared the same engine partner for the last two years."
Stoddart added: "We are confident of being able to arrive at a suitable arrangement."
