French driver Stephane Peterhansel took the overall lead in the Dakar Rally after finishing third in Saturday's stage around Castillon. The stage was won by South Africa's Giniel De Villiers, with Belgium's Gregoire De Mevius second.
British driver Colin McRae finished seventh to move up to eighth in the overall standings.
In the bike category, David Fretigne maintained his race lead with his second consecutive stage win.
