| Thursday, 5 December, 2002, 14:43 GMT Wilson set for Cart test ![]() Wilson may move to Cart racing if his F1 hopes are dashed British driver Justin Wilson is set to test drive for the Newman-Hass Cart team in the United States, according to reports. The 24-year-old is expected to fly to Florida for a drive at the Sebring circuit. The Newman-Hass team guided Brazil's Cristiano da Matta to the title last season, but the Brazilian has since made the switch to Formula One with Toyota. Wilson has also been seeking a Formula One drive since becoming the first Briton to win the F3000 title in 2001. But he missed out last year because his 6ft 3in frame would not fit safely into the car. Wilson may still have a good chance of driving for Minardi next season, providing he can come up with 2m in sponsorship. | See also: 25 Nov 02 | Formula One 16 Aug 02 | Formula One 05 Nov 02 | Formula One Top Motorsport stories now: Links to more Motorsport stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
