Elite League Speedway leaders Poole Pirates have completed a deal to bring Mateusz Szczepaniak to their club.
The 24-year-old Polish rider looks likely to make his debut against Birmingham on Wednesday.
Szczepaniak was a member of the Poland team which won the Team Under-21 World Championship in 2007.
Promoter Matt Ford said: "We talked with Mateusz since Krystian Plech made the whole of the Elite League aware of him and he is keen to come to England."
