Third Goran given time off
Goran breezed into the quarter-finals
Goran breezed into the quarter-finals
By BBC Sport Online's Steve Cresswell at Wimbledon

The inner workings of Goran Ivanisevic's mind were given another airing at the Croatian's press conference following his fourth round victory over Greg Rusedski.

While his dynamic play has earned Ivanisevic plenty of fans in the Wimbledon stands, his personality, however split, has won him many admirers in the press ranks.

Earlier in the tournament, the 29-year-old revealed that three Gorans had been required to get past Andy Roddick, but he said only two had been called upon to see off Rusedski.

"They are together here, playing together, living together, fighting together," he said. "And this is just perfect you know.

When these two are together then you can expect anything, a lot of good things, which I'm proving right now, playing maybe the best tennis I have ever played at Wimbledon

"When these two are together then you can expect anything, a lot of good things, which I'm proving right now, playing maybe the best tennis I have ever played at Wimbledon."

And so the third Goran, the 999 emergency one that is, was able to take a back seat role on Court One on Monday.

"He was always ready to step in, but today everything was working fine."

The Croatian was then asked if he had thought how many titles he might have won if the 999 Goran had been around earlier in his career?

"Oh yeah, probably a Wimbledon. But that's life you know. That's life. That's okay. He was out of a job for a long time, you know. Now he's got a job. He has a steady job. He's going to be there."

And with his army of fans growing, at the same rate as the support team in his head it is sure to make for some party if Ivanisevic can reach a fourth Wimbledon final and this time prevail.
