| Tuesday, 11 July, 2000, 21:38 GMT 22:38 UK Brotherton's Tour moment Erik Dekker's win was seen by the French PM Throughout the Tour de France Simon Brotherton is providing daily race reports for BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC World Service - he is also giving BBC Sport Online his Tour moment of the day. The French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin was among the spectators for the 11th stage of the Tour de France. The stage from Bagneres-de-Bigorre to Revel passes through his home village and the Prime Minister is a keen cycling fan. During the early 1950s M Jospin lined the Col d'Izoard stage as three-times Tour champion Louison Babet led the way. On Tuesday he had a more privileged position, riding along in the race directors car at the head of the procession.
