L'Aquila's proved once again they are out of their depth in the Heineken Cup after being hammered by Stade Francais.

The Italian side did take the lead through the boot of Jamie Connolly but then had their line breached 12 times.

The French champions were hardly tested and their win which condemned Wasps to the Cup wastebin.

Their winning margin was less than the home leg when they ran up 92 points.

French winger, Christophe Dominici, playing rugby again after suffering from depression, crossed twice, as did Frank Comba with Italia international fly-half Diego Dominguez scoring 17 points.
