Scottish brothers Lloyd and Elliot Saltman each won a place on the European Tour, having come through the Qualifying School final in Spain. Thirty-four cards were handed out after the six-round shootout at PGA Catalunya, with Lloyd sharing 11th place and Elliot in a tie for 26th. England Simon Wakefield led the way on an impressive 21 under par. Scotland's Chris Doak, 12th after five rounds, missed out by a single shot after a bogey on his last hole. Former Ryder Cup player Andrew Coltart, Alastair Forsyth, who has played on the tour since 2000, and Marc Warren, who was rookie of the year in 2006, failed to qualify for the final two rounds. Also missing out were Jamie McLeary, Raymond Russell and Scott Drummond.
