Hanson, 32, claimed his third European Tour title with victory in Majorca

Swede Peter Hanson overcame a one-shot penalty for a double hit to beat Spain's Alejandro Canizares in a play-off to win the Majorca Open title.

A slow-motion television camera caught Hanson clipping his chip on the 12th a second time.

He fell two behind with four to play after being told of the incident, but made birdie putts from 12 and 30 feet at the 15th and 17th to fight back.

Both shot 66 to end six under but Canizares bogeyed the first extra hole.

The pair finished four clear of South African James Kingston, with France's Christian Cevaer one further back and England's Chris Wood six behind in a tie for fifth.
