Graeme McDowell failed to challenge in the third round |
Graeme McDowell had a two-over par round of 74 on the last day of the Players Championship at Sawgrass. On a course that was creating mayhem elsewhere, the Northern Ireland player did well to have only two bogeys. But there was not a single birdie on his card and he finished on five under, 11 shots behind winner Tim Clark. McDowell had earlier carded rounds of 72,65 and 72 while Holywood player Rory McIlroy and Dubliner Padraig Harrington failed to make the cut in Florida.
