England's Mark Foster will take a three-stroke lead into the final round of the Spanish Open in Seville.

The world number 363 from Worksop fired a three-under 69 on Saturday to take him to 12 under overall.

Spaniards Alvaro Quiros and Carlos Del Moral and Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin share second, with Welshman Steven Dodd a shot behind them and tied for fifth.

Were Foster to seal the win on Sunday it would be his first European Tour triumph in seven years.

The 34-year-old, who tasted his only victory at the 2003 Dunhill Championship in South Africa, began Saturday a shot behind second-round leader Johan Edfors.

606: DEBATE

While Foster got the better of the difficult, breezy conditions to card a round comprising four birdies, others struggled, including Edfors, who followed up Friday's 64 with a 76.

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke endured a stressful day after having to hire a private jet to tee off in time for the third after initially going home thinking he had missed the cut.

He firstly attempted to catch a flight from London's Gatwick Airport, only to miss it after being caught in a traffic jam, before hiring the private jet at Oxford and flying to Malaga at 0200 BST on Saturday.

He shot a level-par 72 on Saturday after making his 0735 tee time at the Real Golf Club de Seville, 12 shots off Foster.
