Gareth Maybin moved up 22 places after his impressive final round

Gareth Maybin carded 10 birdies in the final round at the Madrid Masters on Sunday to finish joint fourth.

The Ballyclare player fired an excellent eight-under-par 64 to end on 18 under - seven behind winner Ross Magowan of Scotland.

Gary Murphy (68) also finished 18 under while Belfast's Michael Hoey was four under after a disappointing 74.

Damien McGrane (67) was 15 under with Peter Lawrie (70) 10 under and Shane Lowry (72) nine under.
