Ian Woosnam in action at the Casa Serena Open in Prague
Ian Woosnam finished fourth at the Casa Serena Open in the Czech Republic to go top of the Order of Merit. The 51-year-old Oswestry man's closing 68 left him on nine under, four behind winner Peter Mitchell of England. "I couldn't get the pace, meaning that I was even uncertain about two-putting for par from 30 feet," said Woosnam. Woosnam's cheque for 33,000 euros gave him 161,619 euros for the year, leaving him poised to regain the John Jacobs Trophy he won in his 2008 rookie year. Scotland's Sam Torrance is his closest rival with season earnings of 139,490 euros. | 606: DEBATE |
