0007: Here's a fact for you: someone from the final pairing has won the Green Jacket in 17 of the last 18 years. Remarkable. That said, it's pretty concertinaed after a nip and tuck third day, and if the Augusta committee are nice with their pin-placements on Sunday, anyone down to the men at three under could win it. I'll see you then, I'm looking forward to it.
0005: Good strike from Campbell, but there's not enough pace and it pulls up short. However, he taps it in for bogey and a round of 72. He's nine under going into the final day, two behind Perry, who makes a solid par for a 70. It will be Perry of the United States and Angel Cabrera of Argentina in the final pairing on Sunday.
0000: Only two men on the course now, their shadows streaking across the undulating 18th fairway. Perry hits his second to within 10 feet, Campbell has a horrible one across the green for par after finding the trees.
"It's frustrating. I should have got off to a good start and had an opportunity for birdie on 2. This golf course can bite you quickly and it is relatively tough conditions. I've confined myself to playing for position and will then watch the leaders go at it. Nothing seems to have gone the way I wanted it to this week."
Paul Casey of England
2355: Cabrera is unable to drain his long birdie putt at 18. Angel rather self-consciously milks the applause as he ambles towards his ball, before sinking his four-footer for par. A round of 69 for the big man, and the clubhouse lead at 11 under. Todd Hamilton will sign for a 72, he's still in the mix at six under.
2352: Cabrera must be pushing 18 stone, but he can hustle when he wants to - the Argentine carves his ball out of the pine straw, darts onto the fairway like a startled rabbit, and watches his ball roll onto the front of the green.
2347: Anthony Kim flops on to within 10 feet at 18. He'll have that for par and a round of 72. Clark's par putt ducks away at 18, but he taps in for a 72 and he's five under. Great bogey putt by Katayama, he finishes with a 70 for six under overall.
2341: Massive putt from Campbell at 17, feathering one in from 10 feet for birdie. Big stones from Campbell, back to 10 under. Perry's ball doesn't behave itself, however, breaking just too late. He stays 11 under. Oooh, Cabrera, you lucky swine - the Argentine clatters into the trees with his tee shot at 18, only for his ball fall through the branches and pop out again like a bar of soap.
2338: Campbell finds the dance floor with his second at 17, and Perry follows him on. Katayama rolls in a solid six-footer for bogey at the last and a round of 70 and six under overall. The Japanese hero still within striking range.
Highlights - Mickelson on the 18th
2335: The Katayama Choo-Choo is derailed - he sends a par putt from off the back of the 18th green eight feet past the hole. Rory Sabbatini - haven't heard much from him today - wriggles one in for a great save at the last, a round of 70 and six under overall. He'll still fancy his chances.
2333: El Pato waddles into a share of the lead, making a 15-footer disappear on 17 for birdie. Perry swats his drive down the 17th, and Campbell's just stays on the right edge of the fairway.
Harrington philosophical after third round
2331: Apologies, Campbell's ball actually finished about six feet past, and his bogey putt coming back is blocked to the right and he drops back to nine under. Perry holds firm, draining his three-footer to stay 11 under.
2328: Furyk pars the last for a round of 68 and eight under overall. Cabrera parachutes into the 17th with a short iron, and he'll have a makeable putt for birdie. Perry gives his birdie putt a chance at 16, but it appears to hit something and jags slightly right.
2327: Campbell doesn't waste any time with his third, feathering it to within two feet of the pin. That's a dropped shot, and in comes Garcia with bogey at the last for a disappointing round of 75. I thought he might do some damage today.
2323: Campbell, adrenaline pumping through his veins like space dust, overcooks his tee shot at 16. Beast of a bunker shot coming back, the ball on a slight down-slope... and he's only gone and muffed it...
2321: Good save by Cabrera, whose putting has come on in leaps and bounds, at 16 to stay 10 under. Perry and Campbell are not budging, they also make par at 15. Cabrera clubs a drive down 17. As the 606 messageboards close, I can report that people are seriously taking the tournament to task for being "too easy". Would you like me to pass your message onto Padraig Harrington and Tiger Woods?
2316: Shingo's long-range birdie attempt at 17 ducks left too early. Furyk gives his second a big old clatter up the hill at 18, but it still comes up well short of the cup. Perry's birdie putt breaks too early and he'll have a tap-in for par. Todd Hamilton's still out there, and he's six under after 15. Campbell a wee bit tentative with his birdie putt, but he should make par.
2314: Perry and Campbell both lay-up at 15 as Cabrera under-clubs at the par-three 16th. He's got a horrible putt up the hill. Perry's second is better than Campbell's, but they're both safely on in three.
2310: Katayama's bender for birdie at 16 comes up just short, but he pars, before stiffing his approach at 17. A real scrappy round from Garcia - bogey at 16 followed by a great eight-foot save at 17. He's two under.
2307: Furyk comes mighty close with a long par putt at 17, but his ball refuses to jump - he's back to eight under. Cabrera, who strolls about the golf course like a man shopping for 'bits' at Asda, conjures some magic, flopping on to within a few feet at 15. Superb up and down, he moves to 10 under.
2303: Cabrera hits Mickelson country with his second at 15, he'll have a tricky lob on from the hollow over the back. Perry finds the right-hand side of the fairway with his drive at 15, Campbell follows him down. Stricker's birdie putt from just off the green at 18 curls quite a way past, he'll have a little brute coming back for par and a round of 68... and he buries it for seven under overall.
Highlights - Cabrera's bunker shot on the 9th
2259: Campbell recovers to make par at 14 to stay 11 under. Tim Clark still fighting, he sweeps in with his broomstick for birdie at 15. Perry's birdie putt stays just low, he taps in to remain joint leader. Cabrera melts one down 15. That almost hurt to look at.
"It wasn't too bad. I missed a few putts - I didn't kill the par fives. I didn't really challenge the par fives. I played well on the back nine though. It was a little scrappy but 73 is not a bad score."
Sandy Lyle after an 73 to leave him one under
2254: Cabrera drops back to nine under after three-putting 14, but Katayama has birdied 13, 14 and 15 and Stricker 17 as both climb to seven under and a tie for fifth. Perry and that old, faithful eight iron once again, stiffed to within 20 feet at 14.
2250: Perry splatters his tee shot straight down the middle, but Campbell puts too much draw on his ball and ends up in the pines. Disaster for Garcia at 16 - his long putt doesn't make the ledge, curls back and finishes back at his feet, to the obvious amusement of a couple of donuts (sorry, 'patrons') in the gallery. Bogey, the Spaniard back at two under, his hopes dashed for another year.
2247: Campbell bends in his par putt at 13, while Perry drains his four-footer to join him at 11 under. Shingo Katayama has made birdie at 13 and 14 to move to six under.
2243: Furyk's tee shot at 16 is a little short and he'll have a lengthy putt for birdie. Campbell leaves himself a tricky left-to-righter for par at 13. Perry leaves his effort low, but he's got an easier putt for birdie.
"Everyone seems to be assuming here that Campbell, Perry and Cabrera will handle the pressure of teeing off last tomorrow. That kind of pressure could be difficult to handle for those three who aren't used to it. Anything can happen tomorrow and if Tiger can fire a 67 to 65... who knows?"
Clydebear on 606 Join the debate on 606
2239: Perry draws his second into the heart of the 13th green and the news from the 15th is that Furyk has holed a chip from off the green to move to nine under. Garcia birdies 15 to get back to three under. Another European effort fades away, Henrik Stenson bogeying 11 and 17 to fall back to one under.
2236: Cabrera shows off those Fairy Liquid hands of his with a delicate chip on at 13. Big man, fingers of a miniature portrait painter. But his birdie putt stays right and he stays 10 under.
McIlroy satisfied with even par
2231: Mickelson with a long-range putt for birdie at 18, and he rams home the par putt to finish with a 71 for four under overall. Plenty of work to do tomorrow, but he'll believe he can pull it off. Nick Watney of the United States has just eagled the 15th to move up to three under.
2225: Vijay Singh is three under with two to play, while Hunter Mahan has birdied 13 and 14 to get back to four under. Perry's chip at 12 leaks past the hole, and he misses a 10-footer coming back. Campbell pushes his birdie putt right - he has the outright lead on 11 under, Perry falls into a tie for second with Cabrera.
"Today's as hard as I have ever fought. It was tough out there. I got off to a terrible start but I fought back and got myself back in it. Overall I wasn't quite comfortable and hopefully tomorrow I will have it. At least I'm in a position if I play a good round I'll be right there."
Tiger Woods after scoring 70 to finish the day on four under
2221: Campbell stiffs his tee shot at 12 to within 15 feet, but Perry finishes just over the back. Katayama birdies the 13th and is up to five under, while Furyk moves to within three of the lead with a solid birdie at 14. Mickelson, having to force things, marmalises his tee shot at 18 into the trees... before marmalising it out again and onto the green. Something like a phenomenon.
2219: One of the blows of the day from Furyk, his second into 14 finishing about six feet from the pin. Perry bogeys 11, his putt ducking left and sliding by. He and Campbell are joint leaders at 11 under.
It was a fun round - Poulter
2216: Cabrera makes par at 11, but he's got work to do after a ropey tee shot at 12. Perry showing some real gossamer touch, putting from about 100 feet at 11. He's got work to do to make par. Campbell's effort isn't bad either, he's got a four-footer for par. And well done Cabrera - he splashes out and rolls in at 11 for par.
2210: Woods' birdie putt rolls eight feet past at 18, as Tim Clark makes a hash of his tee shot at 12. Jim Furyk, golf's quiet man, rolls in a five-footer at 13 to move to seven under. Woods with a fine save at 18 - he's four under, with only the faintest whiff of success on Sunday. Playing partner Graeme McDowell signs for a 73, and he's one under.
"I played really well and had a lot of chances. I could have had a 66 and been right in contention. We're probably looking at a 14 or 15 under winning total. The three are running away at the top of the leaderboard."
Worksop's Lee Westwood, four under
2205: Woods, adrenaline pumping, overcooks his second at 18. Tim Clark's long-range birdie effort at 12 leaves him with just a tap-in. Mickelson's par-three putt at 16 lips out and he's back at four under. Cabrera with the strength of 10 men, muscling his second to the front of the 11th green with nothing more than a wedge.
2200: Campbell just shaves the hole with his birdie attempt at 10, but Perry makes no mistake with his six-footer for the outright lead. Woods unzips his big fella and rips it down 18. When the fat lady's singing, Woods will still be swinging.
2156: Perry might think about marrying his eight iron after this weekend - he stiffs another to within six feet at 10. Campbell safely on as well. Villegas has signed for a 71 for three under overall, but we've got a breakaway at the top, the three big fellas Campbell, Perry and Cabrera all laughing in the face of Woods and his high-tech fitness regime.
2153: Mickelson's lob on at 15 comes up short, to his utter dismay. But what a putt that is, dead weight from 20 feet, and Lefty's back at five under. And 'El Pato' Cabrera is back to within one of the lead after a birdie at 10. Woods hasn't given up yet - fifth birdie of the day at 17 and he creeps into the top 10.
2148: Westwood's birdie putt stays high at 18 and he's in with a 70 for four under. Harrington drains a 20-footer to finish with a birdie, a 73 and on one under overall. Campbell opts for three wood on the 10th tee and makes it sing. Perry follows him down the middle with driver.
"This is Kenny Perry's tournament to lose now. Could it be an American yawn-fest in the final round with the pure excitement of Stricker and Campbell chasing him down the stretch? Very disappointing Woods, Mickelson and Harrington haven't been able to make moves on this, moving day."
VeniceBeach on 606 Join the debate on 606
2144: Perry's curling birdie attempt at 9 just misses to the left, and both him and Campbell make pars to stay 11 under. Clark drops back to six under after his par putt horseshoes out at 10.
"I felt like I played pretty well but I was frustrated on the greens again. It was pretty tricky, the ball was not rolling much at all off the tee. The wind was there and then disappeared and then came back. It's tricky to commit to shots and pick the right clubs."
England's Ross Fisher after his 73
2142: Woods' long birdie putt at 16 leaves him with a two-footer for par. Someone almost put his back out with a particularly savage "IN THE HOLE!" One of these days Tiger will wrap a sand wedge round one of their heads. Furyk still breathing down the leaders' necks - solid par at 11 after a silky chip and run before peppering the pin with his tee shot at 12. Six under.
2140: Both Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell are looking rock solid at the moment and both find the guts of the green with their seconds at the 9th. Garcia's fourth at 11 is a doozy, he'll have a two-footer for bogey.
2135: That's my lot. Ben's back. It's been a pleasure. Oh deary, deary me Sergio - just as I slide back into my seat, I catch the Spaniard yanking an iron into Rae's Creek at 11.
2134: The mighty Katayama stays at 5 under - six behind - after narrowly missing out on another birdie, but his cowboy hat is a joy to behold. A mere 2-gallon hat I reckon but some welcome fashion at Augusta after seeing Tiger Woods' dull grey trouser strolling through the trees.
2132: Sandy times for Cabrera. His drive towards the leading two end up in the bunker on the 9th. He doesn't look happy.
2130: Tim Clark saves par on the 9th with a cracking putt. If that didn't go in that would have ended up in the clubhouse.
2128: Boom. Chad Campbell pops a seven-footer safely in to grab a tie of the lead after eight holes. Perry still to play.
2126: A Lee Westwood update. He's having a fair day and is on 2 under for the day, and 4 under in total after four birdies and two bogeys. He's got two to play.
"It was good fun. I wasn't looking forward to today after the way I was hitting out on the range. The greens were a touch slower in areas today but I'd like to see the wind pick up out there, go and have a cup of tea and watch some carnage out there."
More chat from Ian Poulter
2122: Mickelson's eagle chance strays right of the 13th hole but a birdie gets him on 4 under. Cabrera is another with a birdie and gets within two of the lead on 9 under.
2120: Poulter strolls into the studio for a catch-up with Lineker. The spiky-haired supremo calls his round of 68 "amazing".
2118: Two more pars from the top two boys and Perry and Campbell remain one shot apart.
2115: A cracking 50-foot putt by the boy Tiger on the 14th wobbles its way to the hole and falls short by a couple of inches. It's a safe par though.
"It's a decent score but it is not going to do me as much good as I needed on Saturday, but any time you go bogey-free around Augusta you have to enjoy that."
England's Justin Rose after shooting 71 on day three
2112: Furyk pars the ninth and he stays five away from Perry. Katayama birdies the 8th and he looks hot on 5 under. Campbell and Perry par the short 6th. Clark is another grabbing birdie and he moves to 7 under.
2108: Justin Rose's 71 had 17 pars. Talk about steady. I'd be happy with one par in my round. Rose reckons he's got to improve his iron play. He's 10 off the current leader at the moment.
2106: Tiger's got a spring in his step and he birdies the 13th to be on 2 under. While Ben Dirs heads off for some nibbles. You've got me for a bit. Poulter holes out to finish his round of 68. Great round for the Englishman. He's on 4 under.
2104: Sean O'Hair is in with a very impressive 68, he's four under. Mickelson misses with his 10-foot par attempt at 11 and he's now three under, his challenge sagging. Here's Mark Ashenden while I go for some tucker.
2058: Poulter leaves his swinging 20-footer high at the 18th and he'll have a nasty little putt for a round of 68 and four under overall. Here's that arrogant so-and-so McIlroy talking to the BBC.. how dare he be so good and confident in his own ability? Another good up and down from Campbell at 6, he stays 10 under. Perry's birdie putt comes up short but he stays 11 under.
2055: BBC summariser Wayne Grady puts the mockers on Campbell with talk of his great iron play as the American blocks his tee shot right at the par-three 6th. He'll have a tricky up and down. A birdie for Harrington at 14 to get back to one under. Kim back to three under after draining a 12-footer at 7.
2052: Apologies, that was a putt for birdie at 12 from Woods - he stays one under. Mickelson leaves himself and long chip and run after sweeping out from the pine straw at 11. Cabrera leaves his birdie putt left at 7 and he'll stay eight under. Garcia kills his third stone dead at the 8th and he taps in for a birdie to get back to three under.
2049: Not happening for Tiger - his birdie putt slides by at 12. Kenny Perry's lengthy birdie putt at 5 just misses to the right and he stays 11 under. Anthony Kim is dropping out of contention, a double bogey at 5 and he's two under.
2047: Harrington birdies the 13th to get back to even, but Westwood misses out to remain four under. Here's Garcia at the rather non-descript 8th, and his second comes up just short. Special chip and run from Campbell at 5, he'll have a short putt for par.
2044: The leaderboard was looking a little bit USPGA for a while, but it's all getting a bit more multi-cultural now. Mickelson drops back to four under after a bogey at 10 and Steve Flesch is in with a 68 for three under overall. The par-five 13th is proving a tougher ask today - seven eagles on Friday, none so far on Moving Day.
2037: Three-putt bogey for Tiger at 11, that was a very tentative bit of putting, and he drops to one under, 10 off the lead. Sergio's challenge is fading - bogey at 7, he's now two under...
2032: Here's the Tiger, finding the heart of the green at 11. Justin Rose of England carded a 71 to today, he's one under, and Luke Donald made 72 and is even par. And they'll be no repeat for Trevor Immelman, he's in with a 72 for one over. Kenny Perry comes over all Duncan Norvelle and birdies the 11th. Campbell can only par, Perry is the outright leader at 11 under.
2028: It's like someone's doused the leaderboard in petrol and lit a match - Garcia drops another shot at 6 to drop back to three under, Stricker birdies 7 to climb to six under, Furyk birdies six to move to six under, Hamilton bogeys 4 to fall to six under. And rumble, young man, rumble, Sean O'Hair has picked up his seventh birdie to get to four under.
2026: Graeme McDowell's challenge is dwindling, he dropped shots at 7 and 8 to fall back to one under. His fellow Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy is in with a 71 for evens overall. Ten straight pars for McIlroy, that's some effort round this stretch.
2023: Westwood made his birdie putt at 12 and is now within spitting distance of the leaders at four under. Kim drops a shot at 4 to slip to four under. Tiger Woods is rather treading water back there, but he picks up a birdie at 9 to move to two under. Poulter has well and truly raised his standard and is on the march - birdies at 13, 14 and 15 and he's now the leading European, with Westwood, at four under.
2019: Campbell and Perry aren't mucking about - both make birdie at 2 to move to 10 under. The big-swinging Cabrera makes birdie at 3 to get back to eight under, while Tim Clark of South Africa birdies 3 and 4 to climb back to six under. Steve Stricker makes his move with another birdie at 6 taking him to five under, while fellow American Hunter Mahan is also rising after a birdie at 5. Sandy Lyle very nearly nails the first birdie of the day at 11, but his ball misses by a whisker.
2016: Rumours of Harrington's comeback appear to have been greatly exaggerated - bogeys at 10 and 11 follow birdies at 8 and 9 and I think his challenge has been snuffed out. As if to prove the point, he leaves his birdie putt high at 13.
2011: Steve Flesch is still climbing, six birdies through 17 and he's now three under. Ian Poulter is also making his move, birdies at 13 and 14 and he's three under for the day and the tournament. Phil Mickelson gets his round rolling with birdie at 8 - five under. Peach of a tee shot from Westwood at 12, and Harrington gets inside him. Two birdie chances.
"Paddy's on fire! So who was the last golfer to win a major after carding a quadruple bogey?"
roakey on 606 Join the debate on 606
2009: Hamilton birdies 2 to move to seven under and a share of third. Westwood's lengthy birdie at 11 comes up just short and he'll stay three under. Jim Furyk has birdied the 4th to move to five under, while Garcia has also picked up a shot at 4 to move to four under.
2004: News in of Harrington's disastrous second hole. Apparently he pulled his tee shot into the trees, hit a trunk with his second and rebounded deeper into trouble. he was then forced to take a penalty drop, but his next attempt also hit a tree and went into a ditch, and he was only able to bunt his ball out. His sixth was just short of the green and he was unable to get up and down. Golf as imagined by Anthony Burgess.
2002: Villegas pulls his par putt left at 11 to fall back to three under, while Anthony Kim goes in the other direction, birdieing 2 to climb to five under and a share of fifth. Wind really picking up now, which could really concertina the field. Here's Harrington on 11, and he finds the front of the green with his second.
1956: Sean O'Hair birdies 13 and 14 and is four under overall after 14. Geoff Ogilvy of Australia has hit bother, dropping shots at 6 and 7 to drop back to two under. Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry have parred the 1st.
1951: A two-putt birdie for Poulter at 13 and he's two under. Harrington has dropped another shot at 10 to slip to even par, Jimenez eventually double-bogeys at 12 to join him. Bit of a nightmare for Jimenez, who dropped three times before eventually having to place his ball in a bunker. Our first sighting of Villegas at 11, and his mighty birdie putt falls 20 feet short of the cup.
1948: One of the Augusta officials talking to Miguel Angel Jimenez as if he's just escaped from a nursing home as the Spaniard drops into the azaleas behind the 12th green. Those leopard skin shoes are looking very apt at the moment. Katayama has picked up a shot at the 2nd and is five under, while Angel Cabrera has dropped a shot at 1 to drop back to seven under.
1945: Tim Clark of South Africa drops a shot at the 1st to drop back into the pack at four under. Only two more pairings to come, Hamilton and Cabrera and Campbell and Perry. And we've got the first men in: Australian Stuart Appleby has carded a 71 to be level par and Japan's Ryuji Imada a 72 for one over overall.
1940: Jimenez, resplendent in leopard-skin shoes, rolls in an eight-footer for par at 11, and Harrington has nicked a shot back at 9 to get back to one under. He's out in 37, despite that quadruple bogey at 2. Anthony Kim, who carded 11 birdies yesterday, pars the 1st.
1936: It's getting seriously crowded at four under par - we've got Villegas, Ogilvy, Mickelson, Singh, Stricker, Mahan, Furyk, Sabbatini, Katayama and Kim all crammed in, with only Kim yet to start his round. Stricker made birdie at 2, as did Mahan.
1933: No-one really tearing Augusta up as in previous days, and right on cue, former champion Mike Weir dumps his second at 13 into Rae's Creek. Steve Flesch putting together the best round of the day, he's three under after 14. As Redringo has very elegantly pointed out on 606, I should have said Garcia was one over for his round.
1928: Lee Westwood gets a shot back at 8 and is back at three under, but Poulter's longish birdie putt at 11 comes up short. He taps in for par to stay one under before finding the heart of the green with his tee shot at 12. Padraig Harrington picks up another shot at 8 to climb to level par. Tiger Woods still struggling to make an impression, pars at 4, 5 and 6 leaving him one under.
1924: Here's Romero with his second at 12, and it's a decent effort. Apparently he got free relief because his ball was resting on a wall, and he flops it on to within nine feet. Still drops a shot though and he's back to three over. Furyk and Garcia are out - the former pars the 1st to stay four under, the latter bogeys to slip to three under.
1921: Our first sighting of Ian Poulter round Amen Corner, and he plays a very respectable second into the 11th green. Luke Donald's birdie putt at 13 stays high and he stays one over. Romero's come over all David Bellamy, he's neck high in azaleas behind the 12th green. Here's some BBC weather for you:
"There is a large mass of cloud dribbling towards Augusta that may turn sunshine a bit hazy for the end of the round on Sunday, but the weather is set fair and the winds should be lighter on Sunday than on Friday."
1916: Westwood is back to two under, he bogeyed 6. News of McIlroy: he's level par for the tournament and one under for the day through 14. Sandy Lyle gets a shot back at 6, he's one under. Our American friends eulogise about Andres Romero's swing before the Argentine clatters into the trees over the 12th green. He was two clubs out there.
1910: Back-to-back birdies for Flesch at 12 and 13 and he's one under. Casey remains two over after a missed four-footer at 12. Amen Corner is crawling with Englishmen at the moment, and here's Luke Donald bunting out of the pine straw and down the 13th fairway.
1907: Casey makes par at 11 before peppering the flag with his tee shot at 12. Only needed a nine iron, 146 yards. Vijay Singh is creeping through the field - birdie at 2 and he's now four under. Henrik Stenson back to three under after a birdie at 2. Woods makes par at 4 to stay one under. It's time for Tiger to start swinging haymakers, because if he doesn't, he's a dead man.
1901: Sean O'Hair is putting together a better round than most, he was out in 35 and has just picked up another shot at 10 to move to two under. Casey with a delicate pitch and run at 11, but he looks to be out of it at two over, 11 shots off the lead. Big roars of "F-O-R-E!" as Rose's second at 13 leaks right and scatters the patrons.
1855: Sandy Lyle has dropped his second shot of the day, taking five at 5 to slip back to even par, but Ian Poulter picks up a shot at 8 to get to two under. McDowell of Northern Ireland gets to three under with a birdie at 4. Mickelson and Ogilvy both move to four under with birdies at 4. Lovely, easy swing from Donald on tee at 12, and he'll have a makeable putt for birdie.
1851: Henrik Stenson drops a shot at 1 to fall back to two under. If this is Moving Day, then most of the field are downsizing from a five-bedroom house in Barnes to a semi-detached in Dagenham. It's brutal out there. Defending champion Immelman makes a clutch bogey putt at 13 to slip to one over par. McIlory makes par, while Justin Rose pars 12 to stay one under.
1848: Harrington may be as steely as they come, but it will be some effort to recover from that nine at the 2nd. He birdies the 4th, however, to get back to one over. Cruel for Immelman, whose chip at the back of the 13th green curls 30 feet past the cup.
1846: World number two Phil Mickelson and playing partner Geoff Ogilvy both par the 1st to stay three under. Rose makes a good par putt at 11 to stay one under, Jimenez bogeys 7 to drop back to two under. No Australian has ever won the Masters, but Aaron Baddeley is three under after a birdie at 2. Ian Poulter picks up a shot at 8 to get to two under.
1839: Well done Ross Fisher, who makes an eight-footer at 13 to remain two over. Harrington is four over for his round after 4, while Tiger Woods makes par at 2 after his double bogey at 1. Lee Westwood, playing with Harrington, gets back to three under after a birdie at 4.
1835: Ross Fisher of England finds Rae's Creek with his second at 13. Sandy Lyle has dropped a shot at 3 to slip back to one under, Luke Donald has picked a shot up at 10 to rise to one over.
1829: Appleby with a delightful running pitch at 13 and he'll have a five-footer for two straight birdies. No messing about in the sand today as McIlroy splashes out to within three feet at 12. Immelman back to even par with birdie at 12, McIlroy makes par.
1827: My suggestion that Garcia is the "probable winner" (see below) is based entirely on the fact that I've got money on him. No, I don't really think he'll win. McIlroy pars 11, but makes a hash of his tee shot at the par-three 12th. Harrington stops the bleeding at 3 with a par, but Westwood makes bogey.
"Garcia, the probable winner? Is that serious or wild optimism? If there's one thing the Masters needs, it is calm control and patience, not Sergio's strong suit by any stretch." Canadacharles on 606 Join the debate on 606
1819: Our first look at Rory McIlory on the 11th, and his second gets caught up in the wind and just stays on the putting surface. Casey makes birdie at 8 and is two over. Not a great start from Tiger Woods - double bogey at the 1st, and we've got some big, big names going backwards on Moving Day. McDowell made par to stay at level par.
1816: Padraig Harrington's quest for a third successive major appears to have disappeared in the swing of a club - nine at the par-five 2nd and he tumbles to two over. Shame. Better news for Westwood, who picks up a shot at the same hole to move to three under. Justin Rose out in 35, he's one under.
1810: Camilo Villegas is on the charge - birdie at 2 and 3 and he's four under, five off the lead. Sandy Lyle pars the 1st and playing partner Dustin Johnson, one of only three men ever to be christened Dustin, makes bogey five.
1807: Defending champion Trevor Immelman is out in 36 to stay one over. News of some tee times: Garcia, the probable winner, is off in an hour with Jim Furyk; Woods and McDowell should have teed off; Mickelson and Ogilvy off at 1825 BST; joint leaders Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry off at 1945 BST.
1804: Larry Mize, who pick-pocketed Greg Norman in 1987, birdies the 2nd to move to two under. "There's only one word to describe Stuart Appleby," says our American commentator, "pure athlete..." Appleby, a former Aussie Rules player, bogeys 11 to slip back to two over.
1800: Paul Casey is now propping up the field after a bogey at 6, while former champion Mike Weir is also going in the wrong direction after dropped shots at 1 and 3. Romero also drops a shot at 6, while McIlroy is out in 35 to be even par. You should now have action via your red button.
1758: Villegas has picked up a shot at 2 to move to three under. Don't mean to sound nasty, but I wouldn't mind him blowing up today, my housemate's put a bomb on him. Jimenez birdies 4 and is also three under. Ian Poulter picks up a stroke at 4 also and is one under.
1749: Westwood of Worksop and Harrington of Ballyroan both par the 1st and stay two under.
"If McIlroy was English he would have been hailed as the greatest young golfer of all time. Good to see NI sports finally emerging with McDowell McIlroy and our football team."

1745: Lee Westwood has teed off with Padraig Harrington, news of them soon, and Tiger Woods goes off at 1805 BST with Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland. Sandy Lyle was hoping to play with the world number one, but he's got Dustin Johnson, which is a bit like going on 3-2-1, almost winning a speed boat, but getting Dusty Bin instead.
1742: Jimenez picks up a shot at the 2nd and is two under, while Camilo Villegas of Colombia, the most handsome sportsman in the world, pars the 1st. McIlroy gets a shot back at 8 to get back to level. Casey, Casey, Casey, why do you make my wallet so... full of wastey?
1736: Casey has birdied the par-three 4th and is back at even par. Playing partner Dudley Hart, playing in his first Masters since 2001, does the same.
"McIlroy has just gone straight into the 'British sportspeople we love to see lose' column with Amir Khan and Joe Calzaghe. Good company to be keeping if you ask me." ShinyDavidHowell on 606 Join the debate on 606
"Re well-I-never (see below) ,it may be time for you to learn the rules of golf, Rory was inside the law as he was deemed to be smoothing the sand with his foot after his first stroke and it didn't interfere with his ball or swing area for the next stroke."
Phil, Belfast via text on 81111
1730: Some top facts from our man in Augusta Rob Hodgetts: "No player from outside the top five after 36 holes has gone on to win in the last 10 years, while Nick Faldo's climb from 10th at halfway in 1990 is the best comeback in the last 22 years." Food for thought for anyone with a punt on.
Chase hots up as Player bows out
1725: McIlroy drops back to one over after a bogey at 7, Sean O'Hair, in his third Masters appearance, birdies 2 to get back to level par. Justin Rose off to a solid start with four pars and one birdie in his first five holes.
1719: A quick look at the 606 messageboards reveals that some of us in the United Kingdom don't even wait for our poppies to grow any more, we like to stamp all over them just as they've started to bloom. Don't worry Rory, some of us are behind you. Miguel Angel Jimenez pars the 1st, former champion Mike Weir makes bogey to fall back to even par.
1712: Steve Flesch of Cincinnati, who started out playing right-handed before switching to his natural side, picks up his second shot of the day at the par-three 4th. He's one under. I say there appear to be birdies out at Augusta today, but the leaderboard shows there are an awful lot of players dropping shots early. Luke Donald has just double-bogeyed the 3rd to drop back to two over. Ian Poulter pars the 1st to stay level.
1708: Fans of Cheltenham's Paul Casey will be sickened to learn that he's dropped his first shot of the day at the par-five 2nd. He's back to one over. Imada of Japan makes his second birdie of the day at 7 to climb to one under. There appear to be birdies to be had at Augusta.
1703: well-I-never, were you the sort of person who used to spit in his crisps if someone asked you for one at school? Ben Curtis gets back to level par after a birdie at the 2nd, and Donald is mirroring his every move at the moment, he too is back to level par. Argentine phenom (there are a lot of them at Augusta this weekend) Andres Romero is out and about and he's made par at the 1st to stay level par.
"You NEVER touch the sand until you play the ball. OK, you have to stand in the sand, but nothing else. I think McIlroy deserved disqualification. Nineteen is old enough to learn the rules of golf." well-I-never on 606 Join the debate on 606
1655: Paul Casey of England out on course, and he's parred the 1st to stay level par. His fellow Englishman Justin Rose, who started to look pretty handy yesterday, picks up a shot at the 3rd to move to one under. McIlroy pars 3 and 4 to stay level par, nine shots off the lead. For those who like to imbibe their Masters golf via the red button, we have lift off at 1800 hours.
1649: Plenty of stuff to do this weekend of course - sport coming in your ears, galleries, water parks, rifling through mysterious bin bags in the woods - but I strongly recommend you drop everything and have a go at our Caption (Definitely Not) a Competition. No prizes, just the knowledge that you are possibly the funniest person out of maybe 20 or so other people who've got nothing better to do on Easter Saturday.
1645: Luke Donald of England bogeys the 1st, as does former Open champion Ben Curtis. Allenby is back to one over after a dropped shot at 3, but Japan's Ryuji Imada picks up a shot at the par-four 3rd to get back to evens. Our sinistral friend Steve Flesch makes birdie at 2 and is also level par.
1638: Just a reminder that you can get involved with all the Moving Day tittle-tattle on the 606 messageboards, or text in whatever nonsense is on your mind. Splendid interview with the Iron Maiden chaps in The Times today. My old French teacher, Mrs Dommett, used to fence with Bruce Dickinson. Come to think of it, she looked not dissimilar to Eddie the Head. Robert Allenby of Australia birdies 2 to go one under.
1633: Hello all, and many thanks to Pranav for kicking things off today. Alas, I, in common with everyone else, don't have pictures of the action at Augusta, but I can tell you that Justin Rose is out on the course, opening up with a par on the 1st. England's Ross Fisher partially recovers from his double bogey at 1 with a birdie at the par-four 3rd.

1627: We have our first birdie of the day - and would you Adam and Eve it, it's Rory McIlroy. The teenager cards a four on the 575-yard, par-five second to leap into joint 33rd place. And my time in the seat is very much expired, it's over to Benjamin Dirs for the rest of the day. Adios.
1623: Poor Ross Fisher, the 28-year-old from Cheam has dropped another shot, this time on the second - that's three from the first two holes, which sees him drop to the bottom of the leaderboard.
1618: "No birdies from the early starters yet. Moving day, eh? It could be a day when those who stand still move furthest."
JackDouglas on 606
1611: No first-hole issues for defending champion Trevor Immelman and playing partner Rory McIlroy, who par the 445-yard hole without too much difficulty.
1609: "I'm still rooting for Paul Casey even though he's only even! If I am realistic I think Tiger's the only one who has enough bottle to win. But he will have to stop making bogeys on the 18!" Seb, Cheltenham via text 81111
1605: Bad start from England's Ross Fisher, who double bogeys the first hole, while playing partner Kevin Sutherland drops a shot.
1601: "How's the course going to play today then Pranav? Favourable pin positions and glorious weather, or are we going to see a punishing Augusta?" Joe, Liverpool via text 81111
Eastern Georgia was hit by a passing tornado on Friday night, drenching the course in an inch of rain in two hours, as well as leaving more than 11,000 homes in the Augusta area without power. So the early starters will have to contend with a softish course with slowing greens, making the course feel a little longer. As blogger Rob Hodgetts wrote: "It may prove to be a tale of two courses. But while shooting low would help, not shooting high must be the goal." Chase hots up as Player bows out
1554: "Tiger will make a move through the field today, he is about to push on from what has been a subdued opening two rounds." Adam, Durham via text 81111
1550: As Cefmorris observed on 606, Tiger Woods calls the Saturday of a major "moving day". The world number one will need to call out the Pickfords vans in their droves if he plans to make up the seven-shot deficit between himself and the leading duo. Out on the course, first pair Ryuji Imada and Stuart Appleby both start the day with steady pars on the first.
1543: "How do you think young Rory will respond to events of yesterday? My Ulster instinct suggests one extreme or the other and I'm hoping he comes out firing." David, Moira via text 81111
Will be interesting to see how the teenager responds after a severe finger-wagging in the headmaster's office, although the lad seems to have confidence in abundance, so he'll probably reel off eight birdies on the front nine. Possibly.
1541: Just to clarify, we currently do not have any television coverage from Augusta right now, but you can see live coverage from Amen Corner from 1800 BST on this website.
1538: "I reckon Campbell will fall apart today - yesterday's 70 is an indication that he will either do the same or shoot a 72."

1533: First out we have Japan's Ryuji Imada, alongside Australian Stuart Appleby at 1535 BST. Northern Ireland teenager Rory McIlroy, who begins his third round at 1545, will be hoping for a quieter day on the lush Georgian greens after being hauled in front of tournament officials for kicking sand after failing to liberate himself from a bunker on the 18th on Friday.
1527: Your hard-working scribe from Friday, Ben Dirs, will be in the chair from about 1630 BST onwards, so in the meantime, I'll keep you abreast of all Green Jacket news on what promises to be a glorious day on the east coast of Georgia. So why don't you Get on the Good Foot and send your thoughts on what promises to be a sensational day of action via the 606 website (link above) or text 81111 with the word " GOLF " before your message. But Please, Please, Please nothing Super Bad, or I'll come out in a Cold Sweat. I'll stop now.
1520: Afternoon all, welcome to Augusta, home of the Godfather of Soul. What would the late, and truly great, James Brown say about the progress of compatriots Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell after day two? "Haaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiii" or "Waaaaaatchyaaaame" possibly. Chase hots up as Player bows out
