Poulter was unable to maintain his lead over the final three holes |
Ian Poulter threw away the lead over the final three holes and had to settle for second place in the $1m Korea Open. The Englishman, 32, bogeyed the 16th and 18th holes to finish on 10 under par, one shot behind 22-year-old home favourite Bae Sang-moon. Poulter's Ryder Cup rival and rising star Anthony Kim (71) finished joint third, two shots off the lead, along with South Korean Kim Wi-joong (72). "I came here to win but I am going home second so I'm not very happy," he said.
