Westwood lost to Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano in a play-off at the Belfry

Worksop golfer Lee Westwood admits he needs to take a short break this week after a hectic recent schedule.

Westwood returned from a disappointing Ryder Cup to finish second in the British Masters at the Belfry.

"If I can have a couple of days off then hopefully I can get some strength back in my legs, because they feel like they're hanging off," he said.

"I hit a lot of sloppy shots over the last couple of days, shots that I don't normally hit."

Westwood will head to Scotland later in the week to compete in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
