Graeme McDowell will tee up alongside defending champion Padraig Harrington in the opening round of the Irish Open at Adare Manor on Thursday. Scotland's Alastair Forsyth, the winner of this season's Madeira Open, will be the third member of the three-ball. Darren Clarke be in action on the opening day alongside his compatriot Paul McGinley and Oliver Wilson. Rory McIlroy will be paired with Sweden's Peter Hedblom and Australian left-hander Richard Green. Recent China Open winner Damien McGrane will be in action alongside Lee Westwood and 1999 Open champion Paul Lawrie. Spanish Open champion Peter Lawrie will be in a three-ball with German talent Martin Kaymer and Scotland's Marc Warren.
Michael Hoey, playing in the event after receiving a sponsor's invite following his recent win on the Challenge Tour, is paired with Gary Murphy and Charl Schwartzel.
