Swindon-born golfer David Howell will be hoping to improve his recent form at the European Tour's first ever event to be held in India. The 32-year-old will be in a strong field competing at the Indian Masters which starts on Thursday.
Howell managed only level-par at the Dubai Desert Classic last weekend as he finished joint 44th, 14 strokes behind winner Tiger Woods.
That performance also left him a long way down in the Ryder Cup rankings.
The Indian Masters will be Howell's fourth competition in as many weeks having started the season slowly.
He did find his form in Qatar two weeks ago ending tied for seventh, which was his only top 10 finish since the race for the 2008 Ryder Cup European team started last September.
