Worksop's Lee Westwood says he is delighted with his form after finishing joint second in Abu Dhabi.

A final round of 70 saw Westwood finish on 11 under par, four behind German winner Martin Kaymer and level with Sweden's Henrik Stenson.

Mark Foster, who is also from Worksop, finished three under par.

Westwood said: "I've been playing very consistently, driving the ball well, hitting some good iron shots and it's all coming together nicely."

But he admitted a slow start cost him the chance of victory.

I gave them all a bit too much of a head start

"I gave them all a bit too much of a head start over the first two days," Westwood said.

"Two under is not good enough - you want to be a lot closer than that. But I put up a fight at the weekend so I was pleased with that."
