John Bickerton was made to realise a week is a long time in golf after his missed cut at the South African open at Pearl Valley. The Worcestershire golfer was triumphant at Leopard Creek last Sunday when he won the Alfred Dunhill.
A disastrous quadruple bogey eight at the 17th saw him slump to a 78.
Bickerton tried to repair the damage by clocking up nine straight pars but one more dropped shot at his penultimate hole saw him go out by just a stroke.
