Rory McIlroy fired a closing round of four-under-par 68 at the Portugal Masters at Vilamoura to end on seven under for the tournament, joint 56th. Peter Lawrie was best Irish finisher in a tie for 16th position on 14 under after a 68 with Gary Murphy two shots worse off after a closing round of 69. The only other Irish player to make the cut, Damien McGrane, ended four under. England's Steve Webster was the winner on 25 under followed by Swede Robert Karlsson on 23 under.
