A group of 44 players were forced to return early on Friday to complete their first rounds because of an early morning frost delay.
Among them was former Walker Cup star Wilson who was three-under at the time and faced with a 10-foot eagle putt on the 15th green when play was suspended at 8pm local time.

Under European Tour regulations, he could have completed the hole but chose to mark his ball and return on Friday morning, holing the putt and also picking up a birdie on the 17th to card his 65.
After a 30-minute break to grab some breakfast, Wilson then maintained his momentum with six further birdies and one bogey for an 11-under-par total of 131.
"It was a good decision because I was putting well but my caddie said to me it would be good to come back on a positive note and it worked out well," said Wilson.
"There is a long way to go and I just have to keep concentrating and try to eliminate as many mistakes as possible."
Second-placed Dredge added: "It's good to have something to aim at. I like this tournament, I think it suits my game.
"I've been spending time working on my putting over the past week and I think it's paying off."
Argentina's Eduardo Romero stayed in the hunt, tied eighth with England's Anthony Wall after a 69.
Fellow Englishmen Lee Westwood, Graeme Storm and Zane Scotland share 10th place with Sweden's Robert Karlsson and Spaniard Gonzalo Fdez-Castano on four-under.
Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke missed the cut of two-over-par by just one shot after narrowly missing a birdie at the last. Others to miss the cut included New Zealand's Michael Campbell (+4) and Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez.
