Kim has already had three top-10s in first full year on the PGA Tour |
Anthony Kim birdied the last two to card the second best round of the week in the final round of the US Open. The 21-year-old American, a rookie on the US Tour, posted three birdies and 11 pars before back-to-back bogeys threatened to spoil his mood.
But he hit back with two birdies for a a three-under 67 and a 14-over total.
Kim's superb round saw him climb from a share of 57th to a tie for 20th - a wonderful comeback for the talented Californian from Saturday's painful 80.
"I hit some quality shots and got a couple of putts to fall," Kim said.
"It could have been a little bit better but I'm not complaining. The greens were a little bit softer today and I was able to fire at some pins."
