The Englishman, who set a course record 64 in the second round, is on 15 under, one stroke ahead of Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano.
Westwood had seven birdies and an eagle but ended his round with two bogeys in the final two holes.

"I was pleased with the way I played. I didn't hit the ball as well as I would have liked but it was nice to hole a few putts for a change."
South African Louis Oosthuizen, who led after the opening two rounds, had a round of 69 and is level with Michael Jonzon on 13 under.
England's Phillip Archer had seven birdies in a round of 66 and is four shots behind Westwood.
