THIRD ROUND LEADERBOARD
(US unless stated):

-18 J Rose (Eng
-16 S Verplank
-13 R Allenby (Aus), J Rollins, L Glover
-12 C Hoffman
-11 H Slocum, M Kuchar, J Senden (Aus), C Warren, D Wilson, J Durant

Justin Rose shot a six-under-par 66 on Friday to move to 18 under and a two-stroke lead after the third round of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

England's Rose had five birdies, an eagle and a bogey to move clear of Scott Verplank, who is at 16 under.

Lucas Glover, John Rollins and first-round leader Robert Allenby are all tied for third at 13 under.

Bernhard Langer had the best round of the day, a nine-under 63, to jump from 89th to tied for 13th.

England's Rose, who is now based for much of the year in Florida, said he had found the cool weather difficult.

"I'm becoming a bit of a Floridian now - I'm not used to the cold anymore," he said.

Former Masters champion Langer nailed a hole in one on the seventh plus another eagle on the eighth.

Langer said: "I think it's a very good score under the conditions.

"I imagine scores will not be as good as the first two days. I was at one under, which is nowhere. Now I'm almost in contention."
