Doug McGuigan and Adilson da Silva booked places at this year's Open after finishing one clear of the field at the qualifying tournament in Johannesburg.

The duo each carded four-under-par second rounds of 68 at the West Course at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club to finish on -10.

A final hole eagle saw Terry Pilkadaris share third place with Desvonde Botes as they too earned Carnoustie places.

This was one of five qualifiers held overseas for the 19-22 July tournament.
