Henrik Stenson carded a flawless five-under-par round of 67 for a one-shot first-round lead at the Nedbank Challenge in Sun City.

Stenson picked up birdies at the second and ninth holes, with three more at the 10th, 14th and 15th, to go one shot clear of Jim Furyk.

Stenson's Ryder Cup team-mates David Howell and Padraig Harrington share third place on three under par.

Colin Montgomerie is last, dropping four shots in the last five holes.
