Darren Clarke is 120th in this year's PGA Tour money list |
Darren Clarke will retain his PGA Tour membership for 2007 despite not playing the required 15 tournaments this year. Clarke missed several events in the US this season because of his wife Heather's illness and subsequent death.
However for a second successive year, the PGA Tour has told Clarke that his playing privileges are secure because of his personal circumstances.
"The PGA Tour has been kind to me, and unbelievably fair," said Clarke, who is 120th on this year's money list.
"Next year, I'm going to try to play as much as I can. But the whole schedule revolves around my kids."
Clarke has drawn closer than ever to eight-year-old Tyrone and six-year-old Conor.
Three days after a massive Ryder Cup celebration came an even greater one - Conor's birthday party.
"To see the look on Conor's face when he turned six was worth a million Ryder Cups," Clarke said.
"When they're not in school, I won't be playing golf.
"Golf is not my priority anymore. My boys are."
