Adam Scott retained his Singapore Open title after a three-hole play-off win over Ernie Els.
The fourth round was abandoned when a ferocious storm forced the players off the course halfway round, so Scott and Els - the joint leaders - played off.
The play-off started at the 16th, with both players making par, and again at the next hole.
After finding the rough at the 18th Els three-putted for a bogey, and Scott retained a title for the first time.
Australia's Brad Kennedy finished third, with Liang Wen-chong of China in fourth.
Asian Tour chief executive Louis Martin defended the decision to cancel the final round.
"There were a number of factors that we had to look at," he said.
"Clearly from the Asian Tour's perspective, we always want to play 72 holes but given the weather patterns for the last couple of days, there were no guarantees about the weather for Monday.
"There were a lot of discussions on what is the best thing to do and I reiterate from the point of view of the tour, that we would have preferred to play 72 holes.
"Unfortunately the risk attached with trying to maintain 72 holes we felt was too great so a decision has been made to cancel the fourth round and the result stands as a 54-hole event.
"You can never satisfy everybody but I feel that in the interest of all parties, the decision we made was the right one."
