Tiger Woods leads going into the final day of the Buick Open after his third successive round of 66 in Michigan.
The world number one leads by two shots on 18-under par from fellow Americans Lucas Glover and Scott Verplank and Australia's Robert Allenby.
Woods struck two birdies in the final three holes and seven in total to gain control of the event at Warwick Hills.
Around half the field, including Woods, had to finish their second rounds on Saturday after earlier rain delays.
Vijay Singh and Mike Weir are among five players who are three shots off the pace on 15 under.
Brett Quigley, who had led Woods by a shot after the conclusion of the second round, carded a 71 to fall back to a share of 10th place.
"You can't go out and grind it like a major championship and shoot 71 or 70," said Woods.
"If you did that, you would probably get run over. Certainly, 63s and 64s can be had out there."
